What To Expect

We are always on the lookout for great applicants, so we accept applications any time, even when we aren’t looking to fill a specific position. With branches in three states, we're sure we have the right fit for you. Take a moment and submit your application to the location that fits you best: Bartlesville Career Opportunities, Lawrence Career Opportunities, or Houston Career Opportunities. This will give your application a head start into our interview process.

We also post various new career openings when they become available and will consider new applications submitted for that specific position, as well as others who previously submitted under “Future Career Opportunities” and made it through our screening process.

If your application looks like a fit for us, we may contact you for a first interview where you will meet with one member of our HR team to determine a possible match to future positions as they open. This interview may be in person or via Facetime or Skype. We are a very technology savvy organization, so we like our future employees to be as well.

If selected from the first interview, we will be back in touch to schedule you for a follow up interview with other members from our HR team as well as department managers. This interview can include 2-5 interviewers, so be ready for a lot of great questions coming your way. We believe great employees on our Truity team are those who can build great relationships on the fly, so it’s your chance to prove that you are a great choice to do that with our members.

We like to follow up with everyone who applies with us, so be sure to watch your email inbox as we communicate a lot electronically before, during, and after your interview process. Be sure to check your spam mail in the event our email correspondence doesn’t reach your inbox.

If you seem like a great future team member, we will contact you by phone to extend an offer as our top candidate pick and will begin the pre-employment process with you, looking forward to a possible first day with Truity.

At Truity Credit Union, we have a culture of serving members, fellow employees, and our communities by building lasting relationships and providing unsurpassed experiences. We pride ourselves on being membership centric to the more than 70,000 members we serve across a four state area, dedicated to our people in a one-team environment, with a drive to celebrate our achievements and a resolve to be an innovator in the financial marketplace. We believe in the credit union movement where people really are worth more than money. So, we are looking for great team members who will fit right in to our culture and help us accomplish our mission of serving our members’ interests. We have made a commitment to lead and grow, after hiring only people focused employees who reflect our culture.

Overall, we’re looking for employees with positive, enthusiastic, go-getter attitudes. Someone who will openly work together with a spirit of cooperation, focusing on an attitude of WE. We only want those who demonstrate a fantastic ability to work in a one-team environment with others, showing initiative, seeking out projects to take on instead of simply taking what’s given.

Technology is huge in our business, so we look for technological proficiency and flexibility in different kinds of work. We only want people who believe in boxes…thinking outside of them. All of these characteristics, coupled with the knowledge and talent to excel for our members, makes applicants the right fit for us.

During our interview process, we will use a behavioral interview style process, so candidates should be able to differentiate themselves and be prepared to show their experiences. In these interviews, applicants will be doing 80% of the talking, answering questions with specific examples. For us, it’s about an applicant’s ability to be prepared and even more importantly, to be authentic. These interviews will also allow you to get to know us and ask any questions you might have. We understand that you have options in selecting an employer and we want you to be able to determine if Truity is the right fit for you.

In order to effectively serve our members’ financial needs, employees must practice financial responsibility in their own lives. We only hire candidates who have a satisfactory credit history and can advise members in a manner that is in keeping with their own financial practices. Screenings for background, reference and drug tests are also conducted.
