Amanda Nichols, Manager, Card Services

  • 6/26/2023

I have been at Truity for 15 years and am excited to feel I still have a long career ahead of me! I started my career in our contact center and quickly transferred to the lobby as a consultant. I spent the next 11 years assisting members with almost every aspect of their financial life. In 2019 I had the opportunity to move to the Washington South Branch as an assistant manager. I loved working with a new team and being a resource for that team. In 2022 I moved to a back-office position where I had the opportunity to be a different type of resource for the operations team. In 2023 I moved to manage Card Services. I’m looking forward to learning an entirely new position and how I can benefit our members in this role.

Working at Truity has shown me what it's like to work for an employer who values you and wants you to grow both professionally and personally. The coworkers, culture, benefits, community service opportunities, growth opportunities and many other things I could name are why I love working for Truity.

The Truity culture strives to value employees as their primary resource. Having a career that I enjoy makes it easy to serve our members. I also love that our culture encourages and enables the fantastic support we give our communities. I am especially proud of the support we give our local public schools! Truity also makes it a priority to cultivate a culture that emphasizes a one-team mentality. I love getting to meet new hires, having the opportunity to connect with coworkers throughout the organization, and being able to walk down the hall and have a chat with others!

The leadership at Truity continues to give me the opportunity and encouragement to grow my knowledge, expertise, and skills. I have had several different managers, and although they have different styles, they all pushed me to grow and have supported me throughout my journey at the credit union. Knowing that a manager is there to support me in a multitude of ways is something I hope to pass along to the employees I manage.
